Dr. Taryn Cass

Taryn Cass, ND, DC, Reiki Practitioner, Founder of Serenity Holistic Health

As a Naturopathic Doctor, Chiropractic Physician, and Reiki Healer Dr. Cass works with health holistically to encompass physical, mental, and spiritual health. Dr. Cass utilizes naturopathic and chiropractic healing modalities to identify the root cause of illness and restore the body’s innate ability to heal. She believes in empowering patients to improve their health in mind, body, and spirit.

Dr. Cass earned a BS in Biology from Indiana University, where she also began her career in research. After graduation, Dr. Cass worked for the IU School of Medicine researching genetic metabolic bone disorders. In her time as a pre-med student and in medical research Dr. Cass recognized shortcomings in the current medical paradigm and sought a more comprehensive, patient-centered approach to promoting health and wellness. When she learned of Naturopathic Medicine it felt like coming home to the way she always thought medicine would be practiced- helping people unravel the cause of their concerns, addressing things holistically with food, movement, and plant medicines, and allowing for time and space for true healing to occur.

In her clinical practice Dr. Cass combines a thorough investigation of a patient's symptoms, medical and family history, determinants of health, and lab results to create a complete picture of their health. She utilizes functional lab tests which give deeper insight into gut, adrenal, and hormonal hormonal health and evaluate nutrient status and toxin exposure on a level not available in conventional blood-work. This allows her to create customized care plans which address the most important aspects for the individual patient to allow for a return to true, holistic health.
