Rebecca DeCoster

Rebecca began her journey in manual therapy in 2006 when she entered the massage therapy program at the Soma Institute for Clinical Massage Therapy in Chicago. 

After practicing massage for a number of years, a transformational experience receiving Craniosacral therapy inspired her to specialize in this light-touch modality. Dr. Upledger, who developed Craniosacral therapy, reminds us that, "when dealing with the human body, a small force over a long time can do more than a strong force over a short time."

 

Outside of work, Rebecca is passionate about continuing her education, volunteering frequently as a teaching assistant for CST courses, teaching CST for massage therapy students, and leading study groups for other Chicago-area craniosacral therapists. She enjoys riding horses (and does CST for them as well), dancing, going to concerts, and supporting the arts.
